SHE WRITES:
I actually don't know how to answer this question :o) I think I'm just 50-50. I do take supplements and surely spend a lot of money for this, I do like reading about healthy eating and stuff , I do drink plenty of water and I do use Olive Oil for my husband's food (only for him, Canola Oil for me and my son) as it is very expensive here in China. However, I don't really count the calories of my food intake, I don't like vegetables although I eat a few kinds and I don't forbid my son from enjoying french fries and burgers but I limit it to once a week only. My weakness is my sweet teeth - yes, I just don't have sweet tooth, I have TEETH!!! I love chocolates, cakes and ice cream. Not really that I crave for them, but when they're around, I just have to have some :o) So I guess I'm a 50-50? hihi... Not even sure about that!

I watch what I eat. I pack my lunch be cause the foods in the cafeteria (IN A HOSPITAL) are filled with a lot of high fat, or fried items. I guess I could watch a little better. I eat very little processed foods, to much sodium and sugars. I also use olive oil and canola oil. I try to add fruits to my meat dishes. We eat a lot of chicken. I like stir fry dishes and a long time ago I took a Chinese food cooking class. It is like authentic and not what you would get in an American Chinese restaurant.
I should exercise, but honestly, I don't have the time.
Yes I am a health buff. I drink vitamins (tablets) and also health supplements (liquid). I drink apple juice everyday. Chocolate is good for the body. I've read it somewhere. Just can't remember the article. Plus, it helps soothen dry coughs. I always look at the nutritional value of everything I eat. And the nutrition facts at the backside of every packed goods. I am not every serious about calories though. hehehe! I am a sweet teeth myself. I also love chocolates, cakes and ice cream. The list can go on about my paranoia with health but I won't add more. hehehe!
I'd say I'm probably like you, 50/50. I am mindful of what I eat - not much fried or fatty foods and the snacks are generally very healthy snacks and I love most fruits and vegetables. I do like to indulge in sweets/chocolate every now and then, but not to an unhealthy degree. Where I fall short is that I don't work out. At all. My work out tends to be when I take my pup for his walk - 2x a day.
Uhhh... I think I posted my comment in another entry. Sorry!
Anyway... again. I go to the gym 3 at least 3 times a week. But I smoke like a dragon when I'm out partying. More of a social smoker, I'm not addicted to nicotine.
I eat whatever I want, whenever I want. But always in moderation.
So I think I fall somewhere in the middle.
I dont think I am a health buff by any standards, but I am working toward becoming healthier. I am a meat eater, what can I say? and french fries is probably one of my favorites, I cant stop eating them, really I cant!
For the past few months, I have tried to reduce my meat intake, a bit, and learning to cope with a meal with no meat or fish off and on. Its getting better, and then I get my cravings again.
I work around a group of people that are super super healthy, they eat only from specific places, count calories and I have never seen them eat a normal meal (especially two girls), only salads, oatmeal, and sushi. I cant be that way, I love food way too much, so I now bring in veggies as much as I can - hey I am eating a banana as I type this AND I have a 'Naked' juice (energy orange and mango) in the office refrigerator today. That's a step huh? :)
I'm not but my mum is. She's bordering on the obsessive. She watches Uncle Hugh very closely when he's cooking because once she caught him putting butter in something instead of olive oil. It caused a huge row. I think she's too hard on herself and should lighten up a bit. She does on Christmas Day, so I'm looking forward to that. She even gives me turkey skin on Christmas Day. YUMMY!
B - no, Im not. I love salads and veggies, but I dont excercise like I should. my Boyfriend and I have started working out in an effort to get healthy and get in shape. but I love burgers!!
I'm so sorry you are feeling under the weather; hope you feel better soon
I'm 50/50; I try to eat healthy, I exercise 5 times a week, but I still have my "vices"; chocolate, chips, etc.
betty
I am decidely not. I try and eat healthy, but am entirely too fond of breads and cheeses. I take no supplements, forget to drink enough wanter and veggies are not always my first and/or second choice.
But, I do wish I was healthier.
I don't think so. I believe in being healthly, eating right, once I hip heals, working out again, but I won't kill myself over it :)
Laini
nope...i can't say i am a health buff. i like to eat healthy meals, but i also like pork (esp the fat), cheesy stuff, and sweets.
and no exercise!
hmmm...i don't think so. i eat without control. some supplements here, from time to time . no exercise. hehe
well, i just try to balance everything. but i still can't say i am a health buff. i wish i am. but i dunno, don't have the discipline i guess. hehe
I know I should be a health buff. Any points for that?
your comments are sooo interesting :o) yeah, sometimes we know we should be but sometimes we just can't :o) hihi
Lee, what points? :o) hihi
I am learning about the Eat Clean Diet. I am not a health buff, but I am working at being healthy.
Lee, I agree, effort should be compensated!! It seems like we'd all score really high at least in that area. :)
