WHAT MOVIES MADE A GREAT IMPACT IN YOUR LIFE?

SHE WRITES:

I like watching movies with my family and friends, but not alone. It doesn't matter if we're at home sitting in front of a TV set, in the computer or in the movie houses. But the movies that I especially like are the ones that has lasting lessons. Here are 3 of the many that impacted my life:

1. PAY IT FORWARD where it taught me that when someone does something good to you, don't pay them back - pay the good deed forward. very inspiring...good movie for kids

2. THE KID because it talks about who we are now is because of an experience in the past. But sometimes we try so hard to forget the past not realizing it shaped so much of who we are today...good movie for grown-ups!

3. FACING THE GIANTS - it's about not giving up, not losing hope and daring to trust God to do the impossible...good for all ages :o)

Can you name a few movies that impacted your life? Doesn't matter if it's an old movie as long as it has an all-time message... I'll find ways to watch online and download :o)

DO YOU SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT?

SHE WRITES:

By sleeping through the night I mean - undisturbed. I envy my husband when it comes to sleeping. He doesn't have problems falling asleep and sleeping through the night. There are times I wake him up due to some favors middle of the night like getting a warm water for my son to drink, the moment it's done, in a split second, he's snoring again! I however can't remember when I slept through soundly :-( 50% of the time I wake up because of my son crawling to our bed but the other 50% is because I had to pee, drink water or had a dream. Problem is, when I wake up, it'll take me 30 minutes at least to sleep again because my mind gets active. In fact, time now is 2:28am (but will schedule this for posting at a later time). I fell asleep at 9:00pm 'cos I wasn't feeling well, then BOOM! I woke up at 12:30am - peed, ate (got really hungry, u know, pregnant!), gave my son his medicine and now, writing this post! Tried going back to sleep but can't...

They say that as you grow older, your body requires less time for sleeping...But I refuse to admit that, I don't think I'm old... Am I? hihi :o) They also said drinking milk before bedtime helps, did that...But fresh milk increases the production of phlegm and it sure woke me up more!

How about you? Do you sleep through the night?
A. Yes I do (teach me how!)
B. No I don't (we're on the same boat!)

WHO WILL YOU INVITE and WHY?

SHE WRITES:

I would like to thank Jenners for this topic suggestion. Here's what she wrote:

"how about if you could invite any famous people (living or dead) to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?"

It's a party so I'll invite famous singers and dancers to entertain my guests with their talents. To name a few - JLo, Mariah C., Beyonce, Elvis Presley (yep!), Connie Talbot (the cute little girl from British got talent - my son likes her), Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Gary Valenciano (famous Filipino singer and dancer) and whoever wants to join and respond to my invitation... Oh, including Jacky Chan! yes - did u know that he can sing and that here in China he's a known singer? Check out the Olympics video, he's there singing! It will be a party of every race and every nation... And of course, those who'll comment on this post will be invited too, so don't miss this party ok?! :o) hihi...

ARE YOU LEFT HANDED OR RIGHT HANDED?

SHE WRITES:

I understand that yesterday's post was so heavy so let's have something light this time :o)
Here it goes...

I think my mom is talented - she writes with her left hand but eats with her right hand. My father-in-law is the same. One hand for this, the other for that. However, all my life I've been a right-handed person. Not so sure if I can still shift, hihi. My left is just a faithful assistant. Majority of the people on this planet are right-handed. In fact, in the manufacturing environment, our work instructions are designed for right handed people. So applying as a worker in this is a bit of a challenge and they really have to adjust because the work flow and the lay-outs are for the right handed. In the history of table manners, I read where it was considered bad manners to use your left hand to put food in your mouth.

Surprisingly, I came across this site designed for left handed people. It has this quote and it made me smile:

"If the left side of your brain controls the right side of your body, and the right side of your brain controls the left side of your body, then left-handed people must be the only ones in their right minds."
~ W.C. Fields

How about you? Are you left or right handed? It would be nice if you can share your advantages and challenges :o)

IS THERE SUCH A THING AS A RIGHTEOUS KILL?

SHE WRITES:

Several nights ago my hubby and I watched a movie entitled RIGHTEOUS KILL (stars: Deniro and Pacino). They're detectives and partners in the NYPD for 30 years. However, there came a time when they put judgement in their own hands. Cases that have been dismissed because the accused either had money or influence was not valid for them. So if they find the accused guilty, even if the court says he's not, they either plant evidence and have them imprisoned or the worst, killed them. They call it a righteous kill because they don't want those bad people to have more victims. In effect, by killing those "evil men" they do society a great service...

In real life, picture this: a burglar breaks into your house, takes your child, your wife, your husband or your parent as hostage and will actually kill him or her. Let's say you only have 2 choices at hand: Kill the robber OR have your loved one get killed. This is a tough situation for me and I would say I may not be able to think straight when that situation arises. As a human, my first instict is survival...As a believer, the Bible says DO NOT MURDER. I am leaning towards kill the criminal because as a mother, I would give my life for my son. The law of the land will consider it self defense and I probably won't go to prison for it. But will it be considered a RIGHTEOUS KILL?

What do you think? Is there such as thing as a RIGHTEOUS KILL?

A. Yes, there is
B. No, there isn't
